Usage tiers
Signing up is free; API access starts at Tier 1, the moment your first top-up lands. From there limits rise on their own as your organization grows: no forms, no sales calls. A tier unlocks when both of its conditions are met.

How does prepaid credit work?
Add credit to your organization in top-ups from $5; the largest single top-up grows with your tier, from $25 to $1,000. Each request's exact cost is deducted as it runs, and credit never expires. You are never billed after the fact.
Where are my receipts and invoices?
Every payment has a receipt and an invoice PDF, one click away under Billing in the console. Add a company name, VAT number or address yourself in the billing portal; no need to ask us.
What is a token?
A piece of text, roughly four characters of English. A 1,500-token record is about a page. Every response reports exactly how many tokens it billed.
Why is Clara's output $0?
Clara reads your record and returns a probability for each option; it writes no text. You pay for what it reads, the record and your questions, and $0 for the answers.
When should I use consistent mode?
When answers feed thresholds, audits or tool menus that change over time. Consistent mode reads the record again with each question, which keeps answers steadier when options change or a question is reworded, and bills the tokens it reads.
How do rate limits increase?
Automatically. Each tier unlocks with your organization's lifetime purchases and the time since its first payment, and raises requests and tokens per minute.
Do failed requests cost anything?
No. Errors are free, and a request your balance cannot cover is refused before anything runs.
Can I cap spending?
Yes. Give any project a monthly limit; requests stop at the limit until the next month or until an admin raises it.
How do I pay?
Checkout is run by Polar as merchant of record, with cards and local payment methods. Tax invoices are in Billing.
